VCF Mestalla take trip to UD Ibiza this weekend

VCF Mestalla faces UD Ibiza this Sunday at 12pm CET, on Matchday 14 of Grupo III-B of Segunda Division B, at the Municipal de Can Misses
The team travel to Ibiza this Saturday afternoon, to meet the outright leaders of the group and favourites for promotion to LaLiga Smartbank.
Despite the setback caused by a controversial 93rd minute goal conceded last Sunday against Orihuela CF that denied them the win, VCF Mestalla face this game with conviction and determination.
“The team, despite our results, have been working well. We are excited and have the ambition to climb up the table. And there is nothing better than doing it against the leader,” says captain Adri Gómez.
"On Sundays we've been left with a bittersweet feeling in terms of the results,” explains coach Óscar Fernández, “but we've also been left with the feeling that the team are creating and dominating. They make mistakes that come with being young. Playing UD Ibiza is a good test and also a good rematch of the game we had in the first half of the season."
VCF Mestalla have scored in the 6 away games played so far, and taken points in 5 of their 6 outings. UD Ibiza have gone two games in a row without a win, and lost back-to-back in the league and Copa del Rey.
“We have to make the most of the possibilities we have in attack and minimise errors in defence, because they could penalise us a lot with their quality players. But we don't like to focus on the opposing team. The key to being able to achieve victory is in our hands and focusing on ourselves," Adri Gómez emphasises.
